Couples Therapy- For those booking couples therapy, after the first session, you will be invited to complete the Gottman Enhanced Relationship Checkup questionnaires, individually at home. There is a one time $39 USD fee per couple to complete the questionnaires which is paid directly to Gottman Connect.

GST Update- As of December 21, 2024, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has officially confirmed that Registered Clinical Counsellors in BC are now exempt from collecting GST on their counselling services.

Parking Info- Richmond- Entrance by Moncton Pizzeria. You can park behind the building. - White Rock- The parkade is just off Russell Avenue. When you enter the parkade turn left- do not go down into the parkade. To get to #204 enter the door that says L1 N. Residential Lobby and there will be an arrow saying Retail Lobby. This will lead you to the front of the building. Turn left and go to the double glass doors with the address 1522 above the doors. Take the elevator to the 2nd floor. When leaving go the same way to the parkade. You hit the handicap button and this will open the doors that lead to the parkade. These doors are open 7AM to 7PM each day of the week. If you are leaving the building after 7PM you will need to take the elevator to floor #1 and then go out the front door and turn left. You will go around the corner to access the parkade. This is open 24/7.

Shazia is double certified as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. Her in-person and virtual practice allows her and her team to work with individuals, couples and parents across all of BC.

Shazia strongly believes that each client has the capability to reach their goals, strengthen their resilience and lead happier lives. Within his practice, he applies various therapeutic techniques to aid clients in transforming their adverse experiences into pillars of inner strength.

Jonah’s approach to therapy applies cognitive and behavioral theoretical orientations, while also utilizing psychodynamic and solution-focused techniques, when appropriate. He aims to provide clients with practical tools and coping strategies to overcome challenges, let go of obsessive thoughts, and manage stress. Noyona is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and offers a relationship that is accepting and non-judgmental. It is important for her to create a safe therapeutic space while supporting healing journeys. Her values include compassion, curiosity, and equity. She enjoys working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, migration, identity, family/relationship struggles and more.

Noyona’s approach to therapy is trauma-informed, strengths-based and integrative and is centered around core beliefs and parts of self. She views counselling as holistic and honors the biological, social, and psychological dimensions of experiences. She believes in the mind-body connection and likes to examine the interplay between stress, trauma and emotions in our bodies.

She also has training in observed experiential integration (OEI) which helps individuals process trauma beyond talk therapy. OEI techniques work to restore perceptions to the levels they were before experiencing psychological trauma. This translates into more positive self-esteem, social confidence, and feeling less “numbed out” or “stuck”.

Kudrat has a Master of Arts in Psychology and is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC).

She brings a unique blend of academic insight and compassionate care to her work. Her professional journey includes working as a Research Assistant at the Mood Disorders Lab at the University of British Columbia and as a Mental Health Support Worker in an assisted living facility, supporting clients with acquired brain injuries (ABI) as a result of addiction. She has also worked in private practice, led non-profit counseling services, and collaborated with interdisciplinary teams.

Kudrat’s trauma-informed approach ensures clients feel safe, supported, and empowered throughout their healing journeys. Akash is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and has accumulated a variety of skills, observations, and techniques over the past decade working in the field of mental health that has equipped him to become a Therapist.

Akash began his time in this field as a Behavior Interventionist before transitioning to a Peer Support and Mental Health Worker assisting both youth and adults in residential and hospice care settings who had been diagnosed with mental health and substance use concerns.

Through these experiences it has enabled him to develop a tool belt that includes patience, empathy, and nurturing that provides an environment in which clients feel there is safety, privacy, and comfort without judgment or stigma within a therapeutic space.
