I am double certified as a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with the BC Association of Clinical Counsellors and a Canadian Certified Counsellor (CCC) with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association. My in-person and virtual practice allows my team and I to work with individuals, couples, families and parents across all of BC.
I strongly believe that each client has the capability to reach their goals, strengthen their resilience and lead happier lives. I love creating a safe space so my clients can unpack and with my non-judgmental nature, curiosity and compassion I help people work through a variety of struggles. I am especially drawn to working with couples as I have seen couples move from feeling unstuck/unhappy in their relationships to creating loving/secure partnerships.
My diverse counselling background draws upon two decades of experience helping individuals and couples navigate various challenges to lead more fulfilling lives.
Outside of Powerful Mind Counselling, I can be found spending time with my 3 boys and husband. With whatever little time that is remaining, I enjoy being outside in nature, reading, running and my weight-lifting routine.

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and have a wealth of professional and life experiences that have equipped me with profound learning opportunities encompassing love, loss, and the art of forging a deep understanding of oneself. Within my practice, I apply various therapeutic techniques to aid clients in transforming their adverse experiences into pillars of inner strength.
My approach to therapy applies cognitive and behavioral theoretical orientations, while also utilizing psychodynamic and solution-focused techniques, when appropriate. I aim to provide clients with practical tools and coping strategies to overcome challenges, let go of obsessive thoughts, and manage stress. Through my counselling, individuals can expect to develop a deeper understanding of themselves as well as learn ways to establish and maintain meaningful relationships.
I am also trained to use eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR). I have a wealth of experience working with clients who have faced a range of traumatic experiences and use EMDR techniques as key interventions to help clients process their challenging emotions that have close ties with difficult memories. By employing EMDR techniques, I enable my clients to process and heal from their distressing pasts.
In addition to my professional dedication, my personal life is graced by a dog named Tobey whom i adopted from the streets of China. This relationship with my loyal friend mirrors the qualities of companionship, empathy, and unconditional support that I bring to my therapeutic practice.

I hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and am a Registered Clinical Counsellor. I have a background in science and bring a unique interdisciplinary perspective to my work. My passion for making a meaningful impact in people’s lives began through extensive volunteer work in hospital settings, where I discovered the deep fulfillment that comes from connecting with and supporting others on a personal level. This experience inspired my transition into the field of counselling, where i integrate my diverse academic background to offer compassionate and holistic support.
I also work as a Behavioral Interventionist, supporting children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their families. This role allows me to create a safe environment that promotes developmental growth while also deepening my understanding of the systemic challenges many families face.
My counselling approach is client-centered and trauma-informed, drawing from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. I aim to create a warm and nonjudgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and empowered in their healing journey.

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and offer a relationship that is accepting and non-judgmental. It is important for me to create a safe therapeutic space while supporting healing journeys. My values include compassion, curiosity, and equity. I enjoy working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, ADHD, trauma, migration, identity, family/relationship struggles and more.
My approach to therapy is trauma-informed, strengths-based and integrative and is centered around core beliefs and parts of self. I view counselling as holistic and honor the biological, social, and psychological dimensions of experiences. I believe in the mind-body connection and like to examine the interplay between stress, trauma and emotions in our bodies.
I also have training in observed experiential integration (OEI) which helps individuals process trauma beyond talk therapy. OEI techniques work to restore perceptions to the levels they were before experiencing psychological trauma. This translates into more positive self-esteem, social confidence, and feeling less “numbed out” or “stuck”.
Outside of Powerful Mind Counselling I enjoy hot yoga, reading mysteries and exploring different coffee shops in my free time.

I have a Master of Arts in Psychology and am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC).
With over five years of research experience and extensive clinical training, I bring a thoughtful, culturally attuned, and trauma-informed approach to my counselling work. My background in studying human attention and boredom, combined with hands-on clinical practice, give me a unique lens into how stress, disconnection, and unmet needs impact emotional well-being.
I specialize in working with clients navigating the complexities of intergenerational trauma, cultural conflict, and identity struggles, particularly among immigrant families and individuals balancing traditional values with modern life. I am deeply attuned to the emotional toll that cultural expectations, family roles, and silent generational burdens can have on mental health.
My clinical experience includes roles as a Research Assistant at the Mood Disorders Lab at UBC, and as a Mental Health Support Worker in an assisted living facility supporting clients with acquired brain injuries related to addiction. I have worked in private practice, led non-profit counselling programs, and partnered with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic care.
Fluent in English, Punjabi, and Hindi, I support newcomers, students, teens, seniors, and couples, helping them process anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. I integrate CBT, DBT, EMDR, and the Gottman Method into my work to help clients heal, connect, and build healthier relationships—both with themselves and others.
Outside the therapy room, I enjoy cooking, reading, and traveling, and regularly facilitate mental health awareness workshops to reduce stigma in culturally diverse communities.

I hold a Master of Science in Counselling and am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC). I am a South Asian counsellor with over seven years of experience supporting individuals, couples, and families through life’s challenges. I bring a grounded, compassionate presence to my work and create a space where clients feel genuinely heard, supported, and safe to be themselves.
Originally from India, I understand what it’s like to navigate life transitions, cultural expectations, and the in-between spaces of identity. My lived experience as an immigrant and woman of color helps me show up with curiosity and respect for the many layers that shape who we are. I am mindful of how culture, community, and personal history all play a role in how we make sense of the world and I approach each client with this lens, while recognizing that everyone’s story is uniquely their own.
I am especially passionate about working with people who feel stuck, overwhelmed, or disconnected, whether that’s in their relationships, careers, or within themselves. I believe that therapy doesn’t have to feel heavy all the time; it can also be a space for insight, growth, and even moments of lightness.
Outside of the therapy room, I find joy in wandering through nature, testing new recipes in the kitchen, and spending time with people I love. I also take great satisfaction in organizing and cleaning — a quiet ritual that brings me peace and clarity.
